Each class is divided into small teams and partnered with a local nonprofit organization to tackle a real community challenge. Over the course of the program, participants use their diverse skills, leadership, and creativity to develop solutions that create lasting value, not just for the organization, but for the entire Hollywood community.
One of the most meaningful parts of the Leadership Hollywood experience is our Community Service Project.
Projects are designed to deliver meaningful outcomes such as new programs, strategic initiatives, educational resources, marketing campaigns, or operational improvements that continue making an impact long after graduation. The goal isn’t simply to volunteer—it’s to leave a lasting legacy.

Is your nonprofit working on an initiative that could create a lasting impact in the Hollywood community?
Each year, Leadership Hollywood invites nonprofit organizations to submit project proposals for consideration. Selected organizations are matched with a dedicated Leadership Hollywood team that will spend the program developing and implementing a solution to help move your mission forward.
If your organization has a challenge to solve, a program to launch, or an initiative ready to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
Eligible nonprofit organizations that serve the Hollywood community and meet the current program requirements are encouraged to apply. Organizations must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
We’re looking for projects that address a community need and create sustainable, measurable impact. Strong proposals often involve developing new programs, educational initiatives, marketing strategies, operational improvements, or other solutions that help organizations achieve their long-term goals. Projects should not focus on fundraising or political advocacy.
Each selected organization is paired with a team of Leadership Hollywood participants who contribute their time, leadership, problem-solving skills, and diverse professional expertise throughout the duration of the project.
Projects are completed during the Leadership Hollywood program, with teams typically working from November through May before presenting their completed project at graduation.
No. There is no fee to submit a project proposal. Organizations selected for the program commit to partnering closely with their Leadership Hollywood team and providing a designated project representative throughout the process.
The Leadership Hollywood Foundation accepts proposals during the annual RFP application period. Submission deadlines and requirements are published on the Community Service Project application page each year.
